hi, i’m kendra paterson.
After a decade soaking up the creative energy of San Francisco, I’m thrilled to be back home in Wisconsin.
My time in California was spent in the fast-paced world of e-commerce photo studios—styling, shooting, and bringing product stories to life. Seeing my work land in print and online has been incredibly rewarding, but what truly drives me is the creative process itself.
Whether it's styling a sprawling residential space or capturing the perfect, micro-detail of a product on a tabletop, I genuinely love what I do. No project is too big, no detail is too small, and I’m always ready for a new creative challenge. I’m so excited to bring my experience back to the Midwest and collaborate with brands and homeowners right here at home.
In my free time, I enjoy taking landscape photography with my old film camera, going skateboarding with my husband and spending time with our two cats.
my approach
I believe that every space has a rhythm and every product has a story. Truly great styling isn’t just about making things look "pretty"—it’s about creating an undeniable mood, a sense of balance, and a visual narrative that makes people pause.
My approach bridges the gap between high-end interior curation and the precise, fast-paced world of commercial e-commerce photography. Because of my background behind both the camera and the prop table, I don’t just look at a setup; I see how light, texture, and negative space interact in a final frame.
for homes
I focus on lived-in elegance. I blend architectural lines with organic textures, curating spaces that feel elevated yet deeply personal and inviting.
for product
I look for the unexpected details. Whether styling for a major digital campaign or an editorial print feature, I compositionally frame products so their quality, texture, and brand identity take center stage.
